ABOUT GATE
The Global Art Teachers Exchange (GATE) was formed in 2018 as an avenue to provide relevant, practical, and affordable professional development specifically for visual arts educators. Each year, a different school hosts this independently organized and funded event with the aim of enriching our practice and connecting through what we love...making and teaching art. It is strictly non-profit.
Our ethos is all about sharing best visual arts practices through collaboration. The success of the Exchange depends on 100% participation of the attendees. Art teachers are encouraged to teach workshops, lead job-alikes and forum discussions, and share teaching resources. Workshops are designed to be practical, hands-on, and with direct application to the art room from PreK through High School.
